Check your Zipper!

Here is a picture of one of the banana spiders in my back yard with the 'zippers' in its web.  These are the strangest things I've ever seen!

What in the world are those white zipper things?

    Wierd. I don't know. Never noticed anything like that. Looks like a pair of pinking shears.
